Why should I choose to book a private GP appointment at The Pinewoods Clinic?

Our patients like using our private GP service for a number of different reasons:

  • Some just like the convenience. Appointments can be booked very quickly, sometimes for the same day or the next day. We have free off-street parking at our modern facility and you can be in and out very quickly. Other patients prefer to have a video or telephone consultation so that they don’t even have to leave work or home.
  • Some like the instant peace of mind. There’s no anxious wait to see a doctor and we can quickly diagnose what’s wrong with them.
  • Some are looking for a second opinion. Our GP service is conducted in complete confidence and your notes will not be shared with your NHS GP, unless you want them to be.

All of our GPs are regulated by the General Medical Council (GMC) and operate to the very highest standards. They will take their time to understand your issues thoroughly.

How does it work?

Once you’d like to book an appointment you can either check our online portal for available times and dates and book there or alternatively you can ring our reservations line on 0151 380 0055.

Inevitably there may be some services not offered by our GP service. If in any doubt, please do check with our reservations team before booking an appointment to avoid disappointment.

When you’ve booked your appointment, we’ll email you a short health questionnaire so that your GP has all your medical details to hand before the appointment. This will then give you plenty of time to discuss your medical c

What appointments are available and how much do they cost?

Appointments can either be face-to-face at our clinic or by telephone/video call.

Face-to-face appointments can last up to 30 minutes and cost £120.

Please note that the durations of each consultation represent the interval between the preceding and following appointment, rather than necessarily the time spent in the company of the doctor.
